Correspondence from the Moon

The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite and the fifth largest satellite in the Solar System. The Moon makes a complete orbit around the Earth every 27.3 days, and the periodic variations in the geometry of the Earth-Moon-Sun system are responsible for the phases of the Moon.

We are going to begin Neil Youngs "The Ditch Trilogy"
This a three album series depicting a darker, moodier, and all around despondent Young.  He had recently suffered the deaths of two close friends, and inspired by their loss went down a path that took him away from his recent mainstream success, (His previous album Harvest had a #1 hit with Heart of Gold).  Speaking of Harvest and the material after Young said "This song put me in the middle of the road. Travelling there soon became a bore so I headed for the ditch. A rougher ride but I saw more interesting people there."
Time Fades Away is a live album that sees guest appearances from both David Crosby and Graham Nash. Hard to find but critically acclaimed, Time Fades Away documents a man struggling with success and death, and doing it in front of the viewing public.

San Francisco troop embarks down a psychedelic journey heavy enough for the Sabbath heads and sweet enough for the Indie kids.  These guys (and one gal) are a force to be reckoned with in the modern psyche movement, doing it in a way that is neither cheesy nor dated, drawing upon the deep history of California roots and rock n roll.
Key Tracks: Lord, Sleepy Son, White Dove

If Sleepy Son is representing the San Fran Psyche Scene then The Entrance Band is representing everything in between.  This LA trio brings a powerful force of rock that is only equaled by their ability to turn that unbridled noise into melodic, catchy tunes.  This selection catches them near the formation of the band, and captures their former style of longer, jam inspired rock.  This 5 song CD contains all of their standout tracks including Silence On A Crowded Train and Grim Reaper Blues, it closes with the haunting blues ballad, Prayer of Death.

hope you enjoy.
keep well.
