i've been exploring cold wave lately and this was my starting point. it has lead me to some interesting places, i suggest listening to Roman Photo by Ruth, Triangle by Jacno & Iceland by Richard Pinhas.

this was the first incubus album i bought, i was in 7th grade and it grew on me. which led to me buying more of their albums, thus becoming a fan. this is my favorite out of all of them.


White Chapel Murders - Spook & the Ghouls (goth/psychobilly)
i think i've seen maybe 1 or 2 links to this great album and i'm just putting more out there.


Places Like This - Architecture In Helsinki (synth driven pop)
i caught these guys a few years ago at coachella, they put on a swell show. filler. FA

The Dead Men Are Dangerous

i had the best dream last night.
i dreamed i was thrown into an office building inhabited by the living dead.
strangely, they were all in their monkey suits,
filing, stapling & making calls to phil in human resources,
for lunch of course, ('i'll have a diet coke with my infant, thanks')
i pulled out a weapon from my pocket,
a banana that fired 12 gauge shells,
and i murdered the lot of them.

Pony Express Record - Shudder To Think (post-hardcore)
i was first introduced to this band by a close friend when i was 16, i had only heard one song and it was from this album. years later i found the cassette & i got to hear the rest of it, i understood then why i liked that song, for the rest were just as great.


Dziewczyny Kontra Ch³opcy - Partia (music)
before they were komety, they were partia. my favorite tracks are adam west, vampire beach & kobiety.


Me - Sandie Shaw (vocal)
another great from this female vocalist, i can see how she inspired morrissey and i'm glad she did. she brings such a presence and i can't get enough. if anyone has her first release, i'd love to get my hands on it.

the Black Album - the Damned (punk/post-punk/death rock)
a seemingly overlooked album in the mainstream community, i just recently discovered this one and i am very glad i did. i feel i am a fan of the Damned's darker material, it holds so much more for me.


At Home - Karen O (acoustic)
found by one of the guys from TV On The Radio and spread like wildfire thanks to the 'internetz', a sweet find and an intimate look in at karen o's home life. which i'm sure consists of playing guitar and singing.


Why Do Birds Sing - Violent Femmes (acoustipunkfolk)
i believe this is their fifth album and while not as good to me as say, Hallowed Ground or their self-titled, it's still a great find especially with that damned cover of Do You Really Want To Hurt Me. FA

from morrissey to marc almond, this woman has inspired a lot of my favorite artists. i can see how she did so, she has such a beautiful voice, full of true emotion.

i had been looking all over for this, i remember it playing over & over at my father's house. the best song in the world is on this 'We Got The Juice', play it and it will get the party started, i promise.


Myra Lee - Cat Power (pop/electric folk)
another great album from Chan. i'm really starting to enjoy her work more & more, i hope to see her perform sometime in the future, that would be a swell treat.

Wild Teen Punk From Peru - Los Saicos (garage/trash/psychedelic)
a sweet little cut from Los Saicos, my favorite, it's chock full of raw fuzz, just the way i like it.
